A N N O U N C E M E N T MR. PETER GRAHAM APPOINTED DIRECTOR, GROUP OPERATIONS Fairfax Chief Executive, Fred Hilmer, today announced the appointment of Mr. Peter Graham as Director, Group Operations effective 1 March, 1999. In announcing the appointment, Mr. Hilmer said: "Peter who is currently Chief Executive, Pacific Power, brings an enormous amount of knowledge and experience in complex operating environments. He will be a valuable boost to our operations across the Group. Initially he will take on responsibilities for printing sites, logistics, purchasing, and facilities. Peter will help us build on our operational achievements to date." Mr. Hilmer also announced the promotion of Mr. Robert Whitehead to the position of Director, Group Publishing. In this role, Mr. Whitehead will be responsible for group publishing initiatives, general magazines (eg Good Weekend and SundayLife!), group consumer and retail marketing and group sales, as well as continuing with his current responsibilities for Olympics, syndication and information services.
