Fairfax announces agreement reached on cooling-off period in industrial dispute SYDNEY, September 2, 2000 – John Fairfax Holdings Limited [ASX:FXJ] announced tonight that the Company has reached agreement with its journalists for a cooling off period in the industrial dispute between them. The cooling off period will allow enterprise agreement negotiations to proceed according to an orderly process. Negotiations will resume on Monday, 4 September, 2000. No industrial action will occur during the cooling off period. The Company said normal operations will resume on all publications on Sunday, 3 September. -- ENDS -- |
